The report states that the ROV (underwater robot) has successfully completed the wet storage positioning of the umbilical cable terminal. At 2 a.m. on March 30th, with the successful completion of another deepwater umbilical cable laying operation in the southern waters of our country, the "Ocean Oil 286" vessel reached an important milestone in its cumulative project completion, having completed over a hundred projects since its commissioning.

“海洋石油286”是我国首艘作业水深达3000米的多功能海洋工程船，于2015年投用，配备动力定位系统、2台3000米工作级ROV、400吨深水作业吊机与325吨垂直铺设系统，具备1500米级深水大型结构物安装及柔性管缆铺设能力，参与“深海一号”超深水大气田、“海葵一号”“海基二号”等多个项目的海上施工作业。

"Ocean Oil 286" is China's first multi-functional marine engineering vessel capable of operating at a water depth of 3,000 meters. It was put into use in 2015 and is equipped with a dynamic positioning system, two 3,000-meter working-level ROVs, a 400-ton deepwater operation crane, and a 325-ton vertical laying system. It has the capability to install large-scale underwater structures and lay flexible pipe cables at a depth of 1,500 meters. It has participated in the offshore construction operations of several projects such as the "Deep Sea No.1" ultra-deepwater gas field, "Hai Kui No.1", and "Haibi No.2".

此次“海洋石油286”船铺设的脐带缆，是连接海面之上的油气平台、FPSO（浮式生产储卸油装置）等装备与海面之下的深水水下生产系统的关键纽带，可为千米之下的水下生产系统提供电力、通信、控制信号、液压动力、化学药剂等。

The umbilical cable laid by the "Ocean Oil 286" vessel is a crucial link connecting the oil and gas platforms, FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit) and other equipment on the sea surface with the deepwater underwater production system beneath the sea. It can provide power, communication, control signals, hydraulic power, chemical agents, etc. to the underwater production system located thousands of meters below the sea surface.
