日前,中国电建承建的肯尼亚奥尔卡利亚地热电站一期升级改造工程3号机组一次并网成功,为肯尼亚电网注入稳定清洁电力。

Recently, the first unit of the phase one upgrade project of the Olkaria Geothermal Power Station in Kenya, which was constructed by China Electric Power Engineering, successfully achieved grid connection for the first time. This has provided stable and clean electricity to the Kenyan power grid.


奥尔卡利亚一期地热电站为非洲首座地热电站,原电站建于20世纪80年代。中国电建所属山东电建三公司承建电站一期升级改造工程。

The Olcaria I geothermal power station is the first geothermal power station in Africa. The original power station was built in the 1980s. The first phase upgrade project of the power station was undertaken by Shandong Electric Power Construction No. 3 Company, which is affiliated to China Electric Power Construction Corporation.


得益于世界闻名的东非大裂谷,肯尼亚地热资源丰富。工程改造内容包括将原有3台15兆瓦机组更换为3台20兆瓦高效机组,在蒸汽总量不变的前提下,装机容量从45兆瓦提升至63兆瓦,增幅达40%。改造还引入先进的监控与自动化系统,提升运维效率与可靠性,同时,减少资源消耗和废弃物的产生。

Thanks to the world-renowned East African Rift Valley, Kenya has abundant geothermal resources. The engineering transformation involves replacing the original 3 15-megawatt units with 3 20-megawatt efficient units. Under the condition of unchanged steam volume, the installed capacity is increased from 45 megawatts to 63 megawatts, with an increase of 40%. The transformation also introduces advanced monitoring and automation systems to enhance operation efficiency and reliability, while reducing resource consumption and waste generation.


为顺利达成并网节点目标,电建项目团队全面排查梳理系统运行逻辑与各类保护联锁装置,开展多轮反复校验调试,持续优化机组运行工况,保障各系统运转顺畅、性能稳定。

To successfully achieve the grid connection node targets, the power construction project team thoroughly examined and sorted out the system operation logic and various protection interlock devices, conducted multiple rounds of repeated verification and debugging, and continuously optimized the operation conditions of the units to ensure smooth operation and stable performance of all systems.


此次3号机组顺利并网,标志着项目建设取得关键性进展。升级改造工程全面完工后,将有效提高当地电力供应能力,满足当地民生用电与产业发展用电需求,赋能当地绿色低碳可持续发展。

The successful grid connection of Unit 3 marks a crucial milestone in the project's development. Once the upgrading and renovation work is fully completed, it will significantly enhance the local power supply capacity, meet the electricity demands for local people's livelihood and industrial development, and empower the local green, low-carbon and sustainable development.
